The Fuel Service Truck Driver will operate a CDL Class fuel service truck to service, deliver and dispense fuel to construction equipment and machinery across job sites. This role involves hauling fuel loads greater than 1,000 gallons, performing field maintenance such as fluid checks and oil changes, and ensuring timely and safe delivery while maintaining adherence to safety protocols and environmental regulations. The driver will be responsible for managing fuel dispensing equipment, tracking oil and fuel usage, greasing equipment, and ensuring equipment on-site remains operational throughout the workday.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Safely operate a CDL fuel truck with Hazmat endorsement to transport and deliver fuel to job sites.
- Dispense fuel into a variety of construction equipment and machinery.
- Haul fuel loads of 1,000+ gallons while complying with federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
- Conduct daily fluid level checks on equipment, including oil, DEF, and hydraulic fluid
- Perform field oil changes and greasing on equipment to support ongoing operations
- Monitor fuel and oil use on-site; maintain accurate fuel, oil and service delivery records
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Ensure that all fuel deliveries are made safely and efficiently, minimizing the risk of spills or contamination.
- Perform daily maintenance and safety checks
- Follow all safety procedures related to hazardous material handling and fuel transfer
- Complete all required paperwork and electronic logs accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance of all safety procedures and policies while promoting company’s safety culture
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least 3 to 5 years’ experience as a Service Truck Driver
- At least 3 years’ experience servicing construction equipment
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) – Class B or A required.
- Hazardous Materials (Hazmat) Endorsement required.
- TWIC
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and fuel handling procedures.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work outdoors, exposed to heat and humidity, cold and rain, and around heavy traffic areas
- Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another
- Ability to operate job related tools
- Constantly perform repeating motions that may include feet, leg, wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Work that includes moving and/or lifting objects up to 50 pounds, carry at least 30 pounds and up to 150 pounds with help
- Ability to frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground in varying weather conditions
