Position Summary

We are currently seeking a passionate, organized, and dedicated Assistant Director to help lead our early childhood education program. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced childcare professional who is committed to providing high-quality care, supporting teachers, and building strong relationships with families.

Key responsibilities

· Assist in the daily operation of the center.

· Support and mentor teaching staff to ensure quality classroom practices.

· Maintain compliance with state licensing regulations and center policies.

· Help oversee enrollment, attendance, and administrative tasks.

· Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

· Ensure a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment, where every children, families and staff feel respected, valued, and supported.

· Assist with staff scheduling, training, and program planning.

· Communicate professionally and effectively with parents, staff, and administration.

Qualifications

· Child Development Associate (CDA) credential (required).

· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred).

· Director Credential or eligibility to obtain one preferred.

· Have completed 40 hours of Department of Children and Families child care training (required).

· First Aid / CPR certification (required).

· Previous experience in a licensed childcare or preschool setting required.

· Knowledge of Florida childcare licensing regulations.

· Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

· Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

· Proficient utilizing digital systems to manage records, track attendance, generate reports, and support efficient childcare program operations.

· Passion for early childhood education and child development.

· Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

· Must successfully complete all required background screening and training requirements.

Position details

Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 hours shift.
