Position Overview
The Membership Engagement & Marketing Coordinator is responsible for strengthening member relationships while supporting the Chamber's marketing and communication efforts. This position serves as one of the Chamber's primary relationship managers, ensuring members are connected to the full value of their investment while helping tell the Chamber's story through strategic marketing and communications.
Success in this role requires exceptional organization, attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is highly collaborative, thrives on building relationships, takes initiative, and can effectively prioritize competing deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
This position is expected to work closely with every member of the Chamber team, delegate appropriate tasks, manage interns and volunteers effectively, and contribute to a collaborative office culture that provides exceptional service to our members and community.
Membership Engagement (60%)
· Serve as the primary point of contact for Chamber members to connect with membership benefits and services.
· Conduct regular member outreach through phone calls, emails, visits, and check-ins to ensure members are utilizing Chamber benefits.
· Assist with membership retention efforts and renewal campaigns.
· Assist with onboarding plans that ensure every new member understands and accesses Chamber benefits.
· Identify opportunities to connect members with events, committees, sponsorships, networking opportunities, and marketing resources.
· Assist in recruitment of prospective members.
· Maintain accurate CRM records and member communications.
· Collaborate with staff to ensure member needs are addressed promptly.
· Prioritize daily outreach activities while balancing event preparation and organizational deadlines.
· Assist with ribbon cuttings , Business After Hours, networking events, educational workshops, and community programs.
Marketing & Communications (40%)
· Develop and manage marketing campaigns to promote Chamber events, programs, and membership benefits.
· Create marketing content promoting Chamber programs, events, advocacy, and membership.
· Design graphics, flyers, and promotional materials consistent with Chamber branding.
· Manage social media, newsletters, website updates, and member communications.
· Write and edit content for press releases, blogs, and member spotlights.
· Track marketing metrics and engagement to evaluate campaign effectiveness.
· Capture photos and short videos at Chamber events for storytelling and promotional use.
Qualifications
· Associates-Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field — or equivalent experience.
· 1–3 years of experience in marketing, public relations, membership, or customer engagement
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
· Proficiency with social media platforms, Canva or Adobe Creative Suite, website platforms, and email marketing tools (e.g., Constant Contact, Mailchimp).
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25–30 pounds (e.g., event materials, banners, and supplies).
- Must be able to stand and move for extended periods during events or set-up/tear-down.
- Occasional work outside regular office hours for Chamber programs and community events is required.
