Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in Brookline, MA, for a Preschool Teacher Assistant at St. Mary of the Assumption School. The Preschool Teacher Assistant will support the lead teacher by assisting with classroom activities, maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment, and fostering the social, emotional, and cognitive development of young children. Responsibilities include helping with lesson preparation, supervising children during activities, supporting developmental milestones, and assisting in daily routines such as mealtime and cleanup.

Qualifications

• Experience in Assistant Teaching and Education
• Strong Communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff
• Experience and passion for Working With Children in an educational setting
• Patience, adaptability, and a nurturing approach
• High school diploma or equivalent required; coursework in early childhood education is a plus
• Ability to collaborate with a diverse community
• First Aid/CPR Certification preferred
