Summary

The Ocean Export Documentation Coordinator is primarily responsible for managing and maintaining the documentation requirements for our clients’ export shipments. This includes ensuring the documents are submitted in a timely manner and compliant with all foreign and domestic regulations.

This is an in-office position in our Weymouth Massachusetts office. The base hours for the position are Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm. Work from home is not available for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between clients and vendors to ensure all documentation is accurately submitted.
  • Request essential shipment data from clients required to complete the documentation process.
  • File each shipment with US Customs and submit shipment data to steam ship lines.
  • Review each Bill of Lading issued by the steamship lines to meet client preferences and customs regulations.
  • Create Phytosanitary Certificates in compliance with USDA regulations as well as those in the country of destination.
  • Be well versed in different banking terminology to process Letters of Credit as well as Direct Collection Letters on behalf of our clients.
  • Send all original documentation to the destination country so that clients’ cargo can be released without delay.

Salary: $50k-$55k annually.
