CNC Machinist – Lathe

Location: Clifton, NJ

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Set up and operate CNC lathe machines machining aluminum investment castings.
  • Read blueprints, setup sheets, and engineering drawings.
  • Perform tooling changes, offsets, inspections, and documentation.
  • Verify dimensions using precision measuring equipment.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, and Production to improve processes and reduce scrap.

About You

  • High school diploma or GED required; machining certification preferred.
  • Experience operating CNC lathes; setup experience preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret basic GD&T.
  • Knowledge of Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, Okuma, or similar CNC controls.
  • Experience machining aluminum castings or aerospace components preferred.
