Contracts Manager (Long-Term Contract)

Location: New Haven, CT (Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

Pay Rate: $50–$70/hour

Annual Equivalent: $100,000 – $150,000

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Duration: Long-term contract (1+ year), potential for permanent hire

Start: Within 2–3 weeks

A global manufacturing organization is seeking a Contracts Manager for a long-term consulting assignment supporting its Commercial Segment. This role reports directly to Corporate Counsel and plays a key part in managing the full contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance, mitigating risk, and supporting high-volume commercial operations.

Top Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in contract management or contract administration
  • Prior experience in legal operations, procurement, or contract administration required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or Business Administration
  • JD preferred
  • Experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full contract lifecycle including drafting, negotiation, execution, compliance, and administration
  • Draft, review, and revise a wide range of commercial agreements and legal documentation
  • Review contract terms to identify risks and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Manage high-volume NDA processing, including intake, drafting, redlining, tracking, and execution
  • Maintain contract records and ensure accurate documentation within CLM systems
  • Support implementation and ongoing use of Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems
  • Develop and maintain standardized contract templates, policies, and procedures
  • Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Procurement, Sales, and business stakeholders
  • Track contractual obligations, deliverables, milestones, and approval thresholds
  • Advise internal stakeholders on contractual risk, obligations, and compliance requirements

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Strong attention to detail and contract drafting accuracy
  • Excellent understanding of compliance and risk management
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable working in high-volume environments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong organizational and administrative capabilities
