About the Role

This role provides administrative support, performing a range of clerical and operational tasks within a collaborative team environment. The position is responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing mail for the office across all departments and assisting with the scanning of claims documents. The individual in this role must understand their responsibilities and how their work supports departmental workflows and the effectiveness of other team members.

What You’ll Do

Mailroom

  • Process large volume of outgoing mail on a daily basis
  • Pick up mail from post office in the morning
  • Open and process incoming mail and ensure delivery to correct department
  • Have the ability to troubleshoot mailroom equipment
  • Distinguish between various mail types
  • Identify potential HIPPA violations and escalate to manager
  • Prepare shipping labels and packages
  • Arrange mail for courier services
  • Deliver mail to post office daily
  • Restock paper in copiers
  • Keep mailroom clean and organized

Claims

  • Properly handle confidential information and materials
  • Support the preparation of materials for scanning
  • Ensure that all forms are scanned, no missing pages
  • Scan and import all materials into correct folders
  • Keep scanning area organized at all times
  • Other duties as assigned

Work Environment

Candidates within 30 miles of one of our four office locations may be asked to come into the office for a hybrid schedule depending on the role.

Eligible candidates will reside in one of the following states: AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, MA, ME, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, ND, NE, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, SD, TN, TX, UT, AND WA

What We’re Looking For

Skills

  • Must have a vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance and be able to make pick-ups and deliveries as needed
  • Understand how to operate all necessary equipment including, but not limited to, copier, postage meters, and inserter
  • Ability to comprehend different mailing requirements and processes
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good customer service skills
  • Good written and verbal communications skills
  • Good attendance
  • Good work attitude, adaptability and multi-tasking abilities
  • Independent/self-motivated and ability to work in team environment
  • Willingness to work outside scheduled work hours as needed, especially during our busy season
  • Use judgment to identify and report problems to a supervisor and contribute to resolving them
  • May require light to moderate lifting (40 lbs)
