Content Specialist

About the role

We’re a full-service marketing and content agency in Vista, CA, producing content for local businesses — podcasts, social video, photography, and ads — and we’re growing. We’re looking for one versatile creative to handle as much of that production as they can, with our network of freelancers backing up anything outside their wheelhouse.

This role is built to grow. You can start light and part-time and scale your hours as our workload grows. We’re genuinely open to training the right person up — if you’ve got the eye, the hustle, and the reliability, we’ll help you build the rest.

What you’d work on

• Podcast recording — running our in-studio setup: multicam cameras, an ATEM live switcher, and a multi-mic audio rig. This is technical AV operation during scheduled recording sessions.

• Podcast post-production — finishing the live-switched episodes (QC, fixing the cuts that need it) and cutting them into short-form clips. We edit in DaVinci Resolve since it pairs with our switcher, so Resolve experience is preferred here — but we’re open to strong editors on other tools.

• Videography — events, product, and lifestyle, plus short-form for Reels / TikTok / Shorts.

• Photography — events, product, lifestyle, and headshots.

• Editing — short-form social, ads, podcasts, and longer-form corporate work (about-us videos, brand and promotional pieces).

• Marketing content — editing work for our clients and growing our own internal marketing.

• You won’t necessarily do all of this on day one. Tell us what you can do — we’ll fill the gaps with contractors and train you into the rest over time.

How pay works (the more boxes you check, the higher you start)

We pay $22–$30/hr based on the skills you actually bring. The more of the list below you can do well, the higher on that scale you start.

To be considered (the foundation)

• A good creative eye and solid basic video editing

• Reliable, coachable, and organized

• Professional and good with clients — comfortable communicating directly and keeping a sometimes-particular client happy

• Available for scheduled podcast recording sessions (these happen at set times, not whenever)

• Comfortable running a live multicam switch and multi-mic audio setup (podcast recording)

• Strong short-form social editing (Reels / TikTok / Shorts) with captions, hooks, and platform resizing

• Ad editing and longer-form corporate work (about-us, brand, and promotional videos)

• Photography across events, product, lifestyle, and headshots

• Videography / shooting on location and in-studio

• DaVinci Resolve experience is a plus (it pairs with our switcher) — but we’re open to strong Premiere or Final Cut editors too

Logistics

• Hours: Part-time, 8–20/week, scaling with our workload. Some hours (podcast recording) are scheduled; editing and content work are more flexible.

• Location: Vista, CA. Hybrid — some work in our studio, some on location, some can be done remotely.

• Gear: We provide professional cameras, lighting, and audio for shoots and recordings.

• Pay: $22–$30/hr based on demonstrated skill, with raises as you grow into more of the role.
