Position Details
Technical Writer - Livermore, CA
Location : Livermore, CA 94550 (Onsite)
Project Duration : 06 Months of contract (possible extension and conversion in the future based on performance)
Shift : 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Mon-Fri)
Pay Rate : $31.00 per hour on W2
Top Skills Required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a technical writer or document specialist
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment with continuous change
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong critical thinking abilities
- Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred; however, an associate degree combined with relevant work experience will also be considered.
- This position focuses on documenting processes within the Heart Failure Division, utilizing established templates.
- The associate will collaborate across multiple departments, working closely with managers, stakeholders, and various operational teams.
- This role falls within the Heart Failure Division, specifically supporting Operations and Continuous Improvement efforts.
- Key tools used include MS Office applications, Salesforce, and PowerPoint. Experience with Windchill is a plus.
Process Flow
- Information is gathered from meetings, provided documentation, and internal systems to develop process documentation.
- Drafts are then shared with stakeholders for review and approval.
- Follow-up is conducted as needed to address questions, gather additional details, and incorporate updates.
- Finalized documents are uploaded upon approval. May also utilize document scanning skills, and other general office duties as needed.
- Must be detail oriented, very organized and can multitask.
- Will be working on multiple documents at one time. Will also be utilizing multiple sites and systems.
- Good follow through required and excellent communication skills to ask to qualifying/follow up questions regarding the various processes that are being documented.
Nature of Role
- Person will be working with Process Standardization, collaborating with Stakeholders, managers, and operational functions.
- Will produce 80 total documents during the duration of the contract, these are NNI (Needs New Insurance) and PRC (Prescription Required Case) documents.
- The documents are created using a template and follow GSG (General Services Guide)
- Tools used to create documents are MS, Salesforce, and PPT
- There are no daily, weekly, or monthly deadlines for creating the documents
Process Flow
- Document is created, sent to Stakeholders for approval
- Info is extracted from meetings, documents provided, and system for the creation of the documents
- This project falls under Heart Failure Division/Operations/Continuous Improvement
Top Skills Needed
- 2 years of experience as a technical writer, or document specialist, organization, strong time management, strong communication in English, critical thinking
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
Interview Process
