ExpressPoint has a full-time opportunity for an Industrial Engineer in our East El Paso facility. This position designs, implements, monitors, and improves operational processes to increase efficiency, quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Works closely with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, reduce waste, and ensure processes meet regulatory and business requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost
  • Design, develop, and implement new or improved processes and production methods
  • Monitor process performance using data analysis, KPIs, and statistical tools
  • Conduct root cause analysis and lead corrective and preventive actions
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions
  • Support process validation, equipment qualification, and commissioning activities
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain teams
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen
  • Train operators and staff on new or updated processes
  • Ensure timely, tactful, and respectful communication with all internal and external customers.
  • Enforces all policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electro-Mechanical, or related field)
  • Experience: 5+ years related experience in process engineering or manufacturing/operations environments. Electronics industry experience preferred (electromechanical product, POS systems, computer systems).
  • Experience with automation, process control systems, or ERP/MES systems preferred
  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, SPC). Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, process flow diagrams, and data reports
  • Proficiency in standard engineering and data analysis tools
  • Project management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Comfortable working in production, logistics, and office environment. Requires time on the production/logistics floor
  • Able to work and travel in Juárez/El Paso. Occasional travel and extended hours during project implementations
