YOUR IMPACT
You will work with leaders in our Life Sciences Private capital team, advising clients on investment theses and due diligence efforts, while developing insights, maintaining a knowledge base, and creating innovative approaches to enhance client service.
Your primary responsibilities include delivering standardized modules on Life Sciences due diligence, such as B2B/BTC surveys, Voice of Customer and competitive landscape through expert led insights, market modeling, and specialized portfolio engagements. Additionally, your work involves building, maintaining, and managing the Life Sciences Private Capital knowledge assets in digital formats.
You will work closely with Life Sciences Private Equity (PE) leadership and our digital solution teams to identify and support the development of tools and applications for internal and client-related topics.
You will be based in Boston, Massachusetts office as part of McKinsey’s Life Sciences and Private capital Client Capability Network (CCN). As part of Life Sciences Private capital CCN team, you will collaborate with a diverse group of experts across Med-tech, R&D, Commercial Pharma, Operations, and Biotech, delivering valuable insights for Private Equity clients. By leveraging specialized assets and approaches and supporting our LS Due-diligence engagement teams, you will play a critical role in shaping strategic decisions and driving success in a dynamic and impactful field.
The CCN is our platform for innovating our service to private markets clients, building intellectual property, digital assets, and consistent approaches for delivering high-quality due diligences, portfolio company transformations and strategic and organizational engagements.
You will also be part of McKinsey’s Global Client Capabilities Network (CCN)which includes more than 3,500 diverse professionals delivering distinctive client impact and fueled by a culture of innovation.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Bachelor's degree with a consistent outstanding academic record; master’s degree in business, finance, economics, econometrics or a related field is a plus
1+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical, CRO, CDMO, Biotech or MedTech operations (POBOS), R&D topics such as pharmacovigilance and regulatory or ESG, commercial topics such as market access or the health tech / digital health space
Background in business, marketing, economics, finance, engineering, public health or life sciences preferred
Demonstrated research experience in an academic or business setting is preferred and foundational knowledge of due diligences (e.g., market modeling, expert interviews, external report analyses, conducting surveys, etc.) or demonstrated experience/interest in the same
Excellent problem-solving skills including the ability to structure a problem, disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions
Ability to accomplish work in a fast paced and dynamic work environment
Professional attitude, work standards and service orientation
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (e.g., Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Solid understanding of financial, economic and general business concepts and terminology
Experience in leveraging digital (analytical) tools preferred
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
