This senior leader will lead the centralized Proposal Management function across Corporate, Commercial, Institutional, and Payments businesses—driving a consistent, scalable approach to winning complex, high-value client opportunities. The role is accountable for delivering high-quality, compliant, and compelling RFPs and proactive proposals that differentiate the firm in competitive pursuits.
In a highly matrixed environment, this leader partners across Sales, Product, Marketing, and Risk to drive multi-LOB RFPs, deal strategy, unify messaging, and elevate the client narrative—ensuring every proposal reflects the firm’s full capabilities and meets the highest standards of quality and regulatory rigor.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead End-to-End Proposal Delivery: Own the full lifecycle of RFPs and proposals—from intake through submission—ensuring high-quality, timely, and compliant responses. Oversee pricing proposals, standard program proposals, and ad-hoc documents in response to Requests for Proposal (RFP’s).
- Drive Deal Strategy Alignment: Partner with Marketing, Sales and Product to shape proposal positioning, aligning solutions to client needs, competitive differentiation, and deal strategy.
- Orchestrate Cross-Functional Teams: Coordinate across Sales, Product, Marketing, and Risk to deliver unified, client-centric proposals across multiple lines of business.
- Establish Proposal Governance & Best Practices: Define and enforce standardized workflows, quality standards, and RFP best practices to improve consistency and scalability. Establish best practices, governance, and workflows for RFP responses, ensuring compliance, clarity, and persuasive positioning.
- Manage Content Strategy & Tools: Develop and maintain centralized proposal content libraries and drive adoption of tools that improve efficiency and content reuse.
- Enable Sales & Accelerate Pipeline: Provide templates, guidance, and proactive support to reduce cycle times and improve win rates.
- Deliver Insights & Performance Tracking: Monitor proposal effectiveness, win rates, and response timelines to continuously improve outcomes and inform go-to-market strategy.
- Build & Lead Team: Lead and develop a team of proposal managers, writers and content specialists, establishing capabilities, training, and performance standards aligned to enterprise goals.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with senior leaders in Marketing, Sales, and Product to ensure proposals reflect brand and strategic priorities. Serve as the primary liaison for executive review of high-value proposals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 7+ years of experience in proposal management, sales enablement, go-to-market strategy, or related roles
- Experience managing complex, multi-product proposals or RFPs within a large, matrixed organization
- Strong understanding of B2B sales processes, deal lifecycle, and enterprise client engagement
- Demonstrated ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across Sales, Product, Marketing, and Risk
- Experience working in financial services, payments, treasury, or a regulated industry preferred

- Tools & Technology: Experience with proposal platforms, content management systems, and sales enablement tools

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $143,905.00 - $169,300.00
