How you’ll make an impact

  • The Senior Specialist, Clinical Development serves as a subject matter expert (SME) supporting the advancement of transcatheter therapies through hands-on clinical engagement, procedural innovation, and continuous learning. This role partners cross-functionally with physicians, R&D, and commercial teams to support complex cases, develop procedural techniques, and translate real-world clinical insights into next-generation device and therapy improvements.
  • Provide SME-level support for complex and high-risk cases, including real-time procedural guidance and troubleshooting
  • Lead planning, screening, and physician engagement for challenging and non-standard cases across the product lifecycle
  • Conduct case debriefs and translate learnings into improved procedural outcomes and best practices
  • Develop and optimize implantation techniques, workflows, and procedural standards
  • Identify risks, failure modes, and troubleshooting strategies to improve safety and reproducibility
  • Capture and analyze clinical insights to drive continuous improvement and global knowledge sharing
  • Support off-label and outside-parameter cases, including strategy development for novel anatomies
  • Design and validate new procedural approaches in partnership with R&D and clinical teams
  • Contribute clinical expertise to next-generation device and accessory development
  • Develop and deliver advanced physician training and act as a key cross-functional partner across clinical, R&D, quality, and commercial team
  • This position is on site in Irvine, Ca Full time with up to 50% travel nationwide

What you’ll need (Required)

  • Clinician experience in intra-operative procedures acquired from Registered Nursing Degree curriculum (RN), or in positions such as Radiologic Technologist (RT), Operating Room Technician (ORT), or Cardiovascular Technician (RCIS)
  • With 5 years related medical device and/or clinical experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related) with in interventional cardiology or cardiothoracic surgery preferred
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% nationwide travel

What else we look for (Preferred)

  • Demonstrated experience in customer-facing roles, including direct engagement with physicians and leading training and procedures on procedural execution and best practices
  • Proven expertise in MS Office Suite and ability to operate general office machinery
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, presentation, and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Full knowledge and understanding of cardiovascular science
  • Full understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, pathology and physiology
  • Full understanding of medical device regulatory requirements and documents, device accountability and adverse events reporting
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and key contact representing the organization on contracts or projects
  • Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations
  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

For California (CA), the base pay range for this position is $134,000 to $190,000 (highly experienced).
