Job Introduction

Our US Commercial Sales team is looking for a rare character to support commercial data for operations. We are looking for a Director – Syndicated Insights who will play a critical role in transforming complex business, consumer, customer, and market data into actionable insights that drive sustainable growth for the US Commercial agenda.
Main Responsibility
This role will be responsible for leading US reporting and analytics initiatives. They will enable the organization to achieve business objectives by integrating and leveraging key data sources. They will deliver actionable, insight-driven recommendations that support portfolio and brand growth—working in close partnership with the US Commercial team, Marketing team, and Global Analytics teams identifying trends, measuring performance, and support strategic decision-making.
The role will lead reporting and analytics initiatives across syndicated data, shopper insights, promotional effectiveness, pricing analytics, innovation performance, and customer-specific business reviews.
In addition, it is critical this role ensures consistency, data accuracy, and establishes best practices for analytics and reporting processes.
Our Ideal Candidate
Our ideal candidate is required to have:
- The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with commercial acumen and the ability to communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, analytics, statistics, economics, data science, or related field is required; MBA or advanced analytics certification preferred.
- Minimum 7-10+ years of experience; preferably within the alcohol spirits or CPG industry.
- Operational experience with strong preference partnering with multiple commercial functions and marketing, finance, and supply chain teams.
- Self-starter who is proactive and works on their own initiative; takes the lead on projects and analysis.
- A high-level of commercial, marketing and finance experience working in a data-driven industry where they have developed and executed programs based on data.
- Expert Excel skills, including proficiency with formulas and data analysis, is required.
- Demonstrated computer software skills including Power BI or similar tools.
- Must have strong end-to-end business understanding.
- Strong presentation skills to various levels of internal and external team members, with the ability to translate data into business insights to all stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and coach team members.
It is highly desired that our ideal candidate has:
- Experience with syndicated data platforms (Nielsen, etc).
- Knowledge of the alcohol spirits industry 3-tier system regulatory environment.
- Experience collaborating and influencing CPG brand marketing and sales teams.
- Ability to manage difficult, complex markets and achieve business objectives.
- Experience developing and maintaining dashboards, scorecards for executive reporting.
- Experience analyzing syndicated and internal data sources to identify growth opportunities and risks.
- Experience delivering actionable insights across market share, pricing, promotions, distribution, behavior, innovation, and competition.
- Experience supporting annual planning, business reviews, and strategic initiatives.
- Be able to work with little supervision and demonstrate the initiative necessary to handle multiple projects in a timely manner within a lean organization.
The salary range for this role based out of the NYC office is $191,000 - $220,000.
