Our Program Management team is seeking a Proposal and Pricing Coordinator. You would be responsible for supporting the proposal manager in the areas of proposal coordination as well as cost and price estimating. The candidate should have experience in either proposal coordination and management and/or cost estimating and pricing. An ideal candidate will have experience in both. This is an action-oriented position, requiring communication, collaboration and problem solving across the whole company. To facilitate proposal and pricing artifacts, the ability to learn and use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project as well as software cost estimating tools is necessary.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable switching between and providing simultaneous support to both proposal and cost/pricing activities. This hybrid role will work closely with the proposal manager and the pricing manager in the following areas:
- Proposal Coordination: Review and break down Proposals (RFPs)/Requests for Information (RFIs) requirements, develop compliance matrices, establish schedules, and coordinate with internal functions & stakeholders to develop responses.
- Document Editing & Compliance: Create and maintain proposal response documents and verify compliance with the solicitation requirements.
- Cost & Pricing Development: Support the research and development of Basis of Estimate (BOE) for cost elements. Develop detailed cost/pricing spread sheets/tools, factoring in elements of cost, risk and fee to generate compliant pricing artifacts.
- Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support: Act as a bridge between all departments and leadership to ensure proposal content & pricing align with corporate objectives and processes. Facilitate communication between business development and functional departments.

The essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Support the proposal development process, including but not limited to, reviewing requirements, creating compliance matrices, supporting color-team events/activities, scheduling, creating & maintaining proposal documents, and collaborating with other team members to meet deadlines.
- Support proposal cost/pricing efforts, including but not limited to, research and development of cost elements, working with team members to capture elements of cost, BOE development and perform cost/pricing support to generate proposal artifacts and volumes.
- Support the proofing and editing of technical & cost narrative documents for accuracy and consistency.
- Aid in developing presentations and reports to support internal management reviews and actively participate in review meetings.
- Adhere to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness for schedule flexibility to accommodate tight deadlines for proposal support.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and work experience requirements are:
- Bachelor's degree majoring in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering or similar.
- Minimum of three to five years' work experience in Government or Commercial proposal/pricing environment.
- Knowledge of industry standard proposal processes (e.g. Shipley Method) is preferred.
- Experience in reviewing RFPs/RFIs, creating compliance matrices, and multi-volume responses is preferred.
- Experience developing cost/price information in support of Government or commercial proposals is preferred.
- Working knowledge of ProPricer is preferred.
- Experience with Government and commercial programs and contracting is desired.
- Understanding of various contract types, included but not limited to, Cost Plus, Time and Material, and Firm Fixed Price, is desired.
To be considered for this position, you would need to meet, at a minimum, the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed here:
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, and PowerPoint), including detailed formatting, etc. is required. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc. is required. MS Project is desired.
- Demonstrate analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a small, dynamic group environment with rapidly changing requirements.
- Demonstrate initiative and interact with a variety of engineering, finance, business development, legal, contracts and product support teams.
- Demonstrate high level of common sense to know the most efficient methods to deliver, be proactive, and demonstrate a task oriented and results driven demeanor.
- Ability to prepare presentations and documentation with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to appropriately handle proprietary and sensitive information.
