Laundry Technician Lead

The Laundry Technician Lead plans the work of the laundry staff related to the completion of all duties within specific time frames as assigned to meet department/patient needs. Working under close supervision, this role ensures the sorting, transport, disbursement, condition of linens with adherence to the environmental and infection control standards.
Essential Job Function
- Oversees the distribution of linen items to all in-patient areas, sets the standard for maintaining and reviewing par levels to achieve sufficient product levels for 36-hour coverage.
- Cleans and maintains the linen processing and transporting equipment to maintain operations with limited disruptions.
- Assists with equipment repair needs by alerting the supervisor of problems that arise for continued operations.
- Helps to train new employees in methodologies and folding techniques to build knowledge of the job area.
- Provides feedback on how work unit operations can be improved in collaboration with management to continually improve operational efficiency.
- Communicates in a professional manner with the hospital staff and departments to share relevant information and serve the community's needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
