Position Overview

The Registrar is responsible for maintaining a wide variety of student and school records with accuracy and a high degree of accountability. Under the guidance of the Assistant Headmaster of Operations, the Registrar carries out the following duties:

  • Maintains accurate daily student attendance data in the school's Student Information System (Ascender/TxEIS)
  • Manages student records requests through the Texas Records Exchange (TREx)
  • Prepares daily, weekly, and 6-week attendance reports for internal tracking and state reporting
  • Ensures the accuracy of all student data for PEIMS reports
  • Assists the Chief Operating Officer in preparing PEIMS data submissions through TSDS
  • Maintains student transcripts, grade reports, and other academic records
  • Prepares academic reports for school leadership and families
  • Works closely with the Office Coordinator to answer parent phone calls and respond to emails
  • Assists the Office Coordinator in the new student enrollment process
  • Creates school calendars, student/teacher schedules, and other schedules in collaboration with the Office Coordinator
  • Assists Valor school leadership as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to learn new software systems (e.g. enrollment system, student information system, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Spanish (speaking and writing) is preferred but not required for consideration
