We're seeking an experienced ETF Capital Markets professional to play a pivotal role in the launch and growth of our U.S. ETF business.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a new function in the US and help build the capital markets infrastructure behind a new ETF platform. You'll work across the full ETF ecosystem—partnering with custodians, authorized participants (APs), market makers, exchanges, trading teams, and operational partners—to ensure successful fund launches, strong liquidity, and a best-in-class investor experience.
From day one, you'll be a key contributor to ETF launches, helping establish operational processes, liquidity strategies, trading oversight, and external relationships. As the platform grows, you'll become the firm's capital markets expert, guiding creation/redemption activity, monitoring trading quality, and supporting asset growth across the ETF range.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the ETF Capital Markets function as the firm launches L&G ETFs in the US
- Manage day-to-day primary and secondary market activity.
- Work closely with internal teams such as portfolio management, trading, and operations, to support ETF trading and liquidity.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve any issues related to trading.
- Monitor ETF market quality, including volume, creations/redemptions, premiums/discounts etc.
- Serve as a technical subject matter expert in all areas related to ETF trading.
- Support relationship management efforts and oversee client service functions.
- Maintain relationships with authorized participants, market makers, trading platforms, and exchanges.
- Provide expertise and trading guidance on client activity.
- Assist clients with efficient ETF trading execution and provide education on ETF liquidity and trading strategies.
- Keep internal teams and products aligned with industry standards.
- Keep abreast of regulatory market practice changes and inform/train the team accordingly.
- Evaluate the impact of market changes on team operations.
- Understand the needs and limitations of external partners and how they impact internal processes.
- Develop and enhance internal ETF tools and processes.
- Coordinate execution of key initiatives and projects within the ETF Capital Markets platform across functional groups.
- Increasing visibility of the L&G ETF range, with participation in industry conferences and events
- Support and collaborate with distribution to assist in new business opportunities and meetings with existing clients
Qualifications
- Extensive experience (5-8 years) in capital markets with a strong ETF background, preferably experience across asset classes – equities, fixed income, and derivatives
- Experience being a senior member in an ETF Capital Markets team
- Strong existing relationships with ecosystem partners (authorized participants, market makers and exchanges)
- Enthusiasm for the ETF Industry, a positive attitude, and a drive to succeed
- This is a role with a high degree of interaction with internal and external stakeholders, so excellent stakeholder management and communication skills is essential
Additional Information
The starting salary offer will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s education, job-related experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location, and market factors. This position is also eligible to participate in the company’s annual discretionary bonus plan.
