Major Responsibilities

Communication and Coordination

  • Answer phones, relay messages, and manage communication systems.

  • Coordinate admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients.

  • Facilitate communication between the healthcare team, patients, and families.

Record Management

  • Maintain and update electronic health records.

  • Prepare and manage patient charts and other documentation.

  • Ensure accurate and timely filing of medical records.

Administrative Support

  • Schedule patient appointments, tests, and procedures.

  • Order medical supplies and manage inventory.

  • Transcribe doctor's orders and other medical documentation.

Patient Support

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors.

  • Address patient inquiries and concerns.

  • Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • At least one year of clerical experience, preferably in a hospital, clinic, or healthcare setting.

  • Strong computer skills with the ability to enter and look up data accurately
