About the San Jose Conservation Corps + Charter School (SJCC+CS):
One of the first urban Conservation Corps in the country, the San Jose Conservation Corps + Charter School (SJCC+CS) was founded in 1987 to empower young adults aged 18 to 27 ("Corpsmembers") to upskill themselves and advance their career in conservation and green spaces. Today, SJCC+CS continues to operate its 1-year-long paid workforce development program, while also operating a WASC-accredited charter high school, allowing those who have aged out of the traditional education system to earn their high school diploma.

Position Summary
SJCC+CS is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Corpsmember Support Services Director to oversee our Corpsmember Support Services department. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all Corpsmembers meet with and have access to Support Services in order to proactively address any obstacles that could impede their progress in the program and receive the mental and behavioral health support they need.
In order to accomplish this, the Director will supervise a team of Success Navigators , and MSW interns, and establish and maintain internal and external partnerships. Strong leadership skills and commitment to trauma-informed care and harm reduction practices will be essential in achieving the program's goals and promoting positive outcomes.
This position will collaborate with the Job Training and Charter School staff to ensure Corpsmembers receive the help and resources they need. In addition, this position will work to establish strong external partnerships and develop community resources that support the personal growth and development of the young people we serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise Corpsmember Support Services staff and MSW interns.
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, case management, and referrals.
- Develop and implement individualized support plans for Corpsmembers.
- Build and maintain partnerships with community organizations, schools, behavioral health providers, and social service agencies.
- Oversee program operations, documentation, grant compliance, reporting, and budget management.
- Collaborate with Charter School and Job Training teams to support Corpsmember success.
- Promote a trauma-informed, strengths-based, and culturally responsive service model.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW).
- Desire to pursue or obtain LCSW licensure.
- Minimum 2 years of direct client service and/or case management experience.
- Strong leadership and management experience, with a minimum of 2 years of experience with direct supervision over staff (preferred).
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and behavioral health practices.
- Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- Valid California Driver's License and acceptable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Experience working with young adults, workforce development programs, schools, or nonprofit organizations.
