POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a dependable, tech-savvy, and solutions-oriented Point of Sale Technician to support the daily operation of restaurant and event technology systems in a fast-paced hospitality environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and supporting both team members and leadership to help ensure smooth operations and positive member experience.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot point-of-sale systems, hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
  • Support deployment of POS terminals, menu updates, system configurations, and software upgrades.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, and transaction issues onsite and remotely.
  • Maintain business technology systems such as printers, routers, and related network-connected devices.
  • Provide timely technical support and user assistance to staff and management.
  • Maintain inventory, repair logs, maintenance records, and equipment status documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, technology upgrades, and operational efficiency.
  • Respond to urgent technical issues outside of standard business hours when needed.
  • Attend staff meetings
  • Performs other duties as required by the General Manager
  • Basic understanding of the Audio/Video system to act as a back-up to the A/V tech as needed

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience supporting restaurant technology platforms; experience with Toast is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Windows and Android devices, printers and peripherals, routers, and basic networking concepts.
  • Strong troubleshooting, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear communication and a service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
  • Coursework, certifications, or training in information technology, networking, AV support, or a related field is helpful but not required.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call support as needed.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • This position works in a hospitality and event environment that requires standing and walking for extended periods; frequent bending, reaching, carrying, and moving equipment; and lifting to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
