EDU-AIDS LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School-Based Occupational Therapist to join one of our partner school districts in Wayne, New Jersey for the 2026–2027 school year.

The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students achieve greater independence and success by improving their fine motor, sensory, self-care, and functional skills within the educational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct occupational therapy evaluations to determine students' functional needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with students' IEP goals.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and small-group settings.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, school psychologists, speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, and families.
  • Recommend adaptive equipment, classroom accommodations, and assistive technology when appropriate.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions.
  • Maintain compliance with school district policies and professional standards.
  • Support students in developing fine motor, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, handwriting, self-care, and functional living skills.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Qualification required

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Active New Jersey State Occupational Therapy License.
  • New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) Certification as an Occupational Therapist.
  • NBCOT Certification.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary educational team.

Preferred

  • School-based experience.
  • Pediatric occupational therapy experience.
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning and developmental needs.
