MY SQL DBA/Architect

Our client is an established software-enabled fintech / online brokerage. Their software-enabled investing platform allows uses to trade stocks, ETFs, options, mutual funds, and other investment products.

We are partnering with them to identify a Principal Database Architect to stabilize and optimize live production databases and design NextGen schema and data architecture. You will own the performance, scalability, and reliability of their MySQL 8 environment and will be in real production queries from day 1. The primary tasks include; auditing production databases, identifying and remediating queries, and hardening production standards to protect customer-facing paths.

Core Requirements

• Hands-on MySQL 8 expertise
• Fluent with query observability and tuning tooling
• Past experience of scaling transactional systems by large multiples
• Resolved live production database incidents
• Designed architectures or schemas scaled to meet major growth
• Nice to haves: Cloud, Distributed SQL, and financial services experience

Queens, NY - This is 5x week onsite position

Salary

$140,000-$150,000K base salary (based on experience) + $75,000-$125,000 annual cash bonus
