About this Role
WT Byler is seeking a professional, organized, and dependable Receptionist to support daily front office operations. This role serves as the first point of contact for visitors, callers, employees, vendors, and business partners and plays an important role in creating a welcoming and efficient office environment.
The ideal candidate is friendly, well-spoken, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a busy construction office setting. This position is responsible for answering and directing calls, greeting visitors, maintaining the front office area, coordinating mail and deliveries, supporting basic administrative tasks, and assisting team members with day-to-day office needs.
What You'll Do
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls in a professional and courteous manner while providing accurate information or routing callers to the appropriate team member.
- Greet visitors, vendors, applicants, and employees, ensuring they are welcomed, signed in as needed, and directed to the appropriate person or meeting location.
- Maintain the front reception area, conference rooms, shared office spaces, and general office appearance to ensure a clean, organized, and professional environment.
- Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail, packages, and deliveries; prepare outgoing mail, courier items, and shipping requests as needed.
- Assist with scheduling, meeting preparation, visitor coordination, office supply inventory, and general administrative support for office and operations teams.
- Perform data entry, scanning, copying, filing, document organization, and other clerical duties to support accurate and efficient office processes.
- Support office communication by helping relay messages, coordinate with field and office personnel, and assist with special projects or other duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous receptionist, office assistant, administrative support, customer service, or front desk experience preferred.
- Bilingual Spanish / English communication skills preferred.
- Professional phone etiquette with the ability to manage a high volume of calls while remaining calm, courteous, and organized.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with a friendly, approachable, and service-focused attitude.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, and general office equipment such as phones, copiers, scanners, and printers.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize tasks, maintain records, follow instructions, and support multiple priorities.
- Dependable, adaptable, and team-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced construction office environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and represent the company professionally when interacting with employees, visitors, vendors, and customers.
