Pay/ Benefits: $17.00-$18.50/Hour.

Role Description

The Social Media Marketing Specialist is a part-time, hybrid role based in Aurora, CO, with the flexibility to complete some work from home. This role is responsible for planning, creating, and scheduling social media content that promotes True North Tacticals training programs and brand values across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and others as needed. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing posts, selecting or creating visuals, monitoring engagement, responding to comments and messages, and maintaining a consistent brand voice that emphasizes safety, responsibility, and professionalism. The specialist will track and report on key performance metrics, optimize campaigns based on results, and collaborate with training staff to highlight courses, events, and success stories. The role may also support broader digital marketing initiatives, including basic email campaigns, website updates, and paid social advertising.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Social Media Marketing and Digital Marketing, with the ability to plan and execute campaigns that drive engagement and awareness.
  • Proficiency in Social Media Content Creation and Marketing, including writing posts, producing or directing visuals, and aligning content with brand and audience needs.
  • Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to maintain a clear, respectful, and safety-focused brand voice across all channels.
  • Experience using social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer, or similar) to schedule content and evaluate performance.
  • Familiarity or comfort with firearms safety concepts and a willingness to communicate responsibly about firearms training in a professional and compliant manner.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a part-time, hybrid work environment.
  • Previous experience in marketing for training, education, sports, or related industries is a plus.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
