Position Description: The People and Culture Coordinator supports the day-to-day operations of Nine PBS's HR function, helping to deliver an exceptional employee experience while ensuring efficient and compliant processes. Reporting to the Manager, Organizational Excellence, this role manages key administrative responsibilities, maintains employee records, supports recruitment and onboarding, coordinates people and culture initiatives, and helps ensure compliance with organizational policies and employment practices. As a trusted partner to employees and leaders, the People and Culture Coordinator plays an integral role in fostering an engaged, inclusive, and high-performing workplace.

Primary Responsibilities: The following primary responsibilities are vital to successfully meeting the expectations of this role in an effective and efficient manner. This is not an exhaustive list and areas of focus may fluctuate between the primary and secondary responsibilities, as needed.
- Lead projects and initiatives that strengthen organizational effectiveness, enhance the employee experience, and support People & Culture priorities.
- Effectively prioritize competing priorities, anticipate needs, and follow through on action items with accuracy and timeliness, often under tight deadlines.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and confidential employee records in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements.
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including posting job opportunities across multiple platforms, monitoring applicant flow, and supporting candidate communications.
- Schedule interviews and facilitate hiring logistics to ensure a seamless candidate experience.
- Coordinate onboarding activities, including new hire documentation, orientation scheduling, and other processes that create a welcoming and engaging start for new employees.
- Support employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and internal communications that strengthen organizational culture.
- Assist with performance management processes, including coordinating timelines, tracking documentation, and supporting supervisors and employees throughout the review cycle.
- Manage calendars, meetings, and other administrative activities that support the People & Culture team and organizational initiatives.
- Handle sensitive employee and organizational information with the highest level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
Secondary Responsibilities: These are additional activities that are expected to be performed within this position.
- Support the team in maintaining compliance with applicable employment laws, organizational policies, and HR best practices by monitoring updates and assisting with implementation as needed.
- Provide administrative support to the team by managing calendars, coordinating meetings, preparing communications, and proactively anticipating and resolving scheduling needs and conflicts.
- Perform other duties and contribute to special projects, as assigned in support of the team and organizational priorities.
Qualifications: One or more years of human resources or other related experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), and strong organizational skills. Experience using Monday.com a plus. Additional skills include:
- Ability to anticipate challenges and recommend solutions.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, with a focus on detail and follow-up.
- Highly organized team player who is committed to the mission of Nine PBS.
- Strong emotional and professional intelligence is required.
- Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be extremely effective independently.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Hybrid Schedule: This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule, typically being in the office 2-3 day per week. On-site work includes in-person team meetings, all-staff meetings, and general work functions. Off-site work available with approval from supervisor.
