The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for providing support to the Maintenance Department in handling the mechanical inventory used for aircraft maintenance. Take inventory of parts /chemicals, maintain accurate records based on work orders, and distribute parts in a timely manner. Receive and store parts, along with sending parts out for repairs. Repair small parts under the repair station certificate as delegated.
Responsibilities
- Assist in activities related to sourcing, procuring, and tracking materials and supplies needed for CAE facilities.
- Work with the Supply Chain Specialist in maintaining visibility, traceability, and payment of open and closed POs for CAE facilities.
- Issue tools and parts to mechanics as needed.
- Perform warranty, RMA, and R&R processes as needed.
- Update internal database to optimize parts room efficiency.
- Oversee compliance with tool calibration, tracking, and hazardous materials.
- Assist in maintaining appropriate FAA compliance within the CAE parts room.
- Replenish inspection carts, hardware racks, and liquid consumables.
- Assist with physical inventory counts and maintain a perpetual inventory bin-maintenance system.
- Be internal/external customer-friendly and service-oriented.
- Maintain an organized parts room and undertake projects to improve its functionality.
- Operate forklift and perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in inventory, stockroom operations, materials handling, or similar roles.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and problem-solving tasks.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and follow documented processes.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Customer service orientation.
- Ability to comply with FAA regulations and safety requirements in a parts room environment.
- Ability to operate or learn to operate a forklift.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or industrial environments.
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain support.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems or parts tracking databases.
- Experience supporting FAA-regulated environments.
