Job Overview
The experienced Maintenance Technician serves as a key technical resource within the maintenance department and is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving highly automated industrial equipment. This position requires advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, the ability to identify root causes of equipment failures, and a proactive approach to increasing equipment reliability and uptime.
The ideal candidate has experience working in high-speed production or food production facilities and can work independently while supporting and mentoring junior technicians.
What You’ll Do
As an experienced Maintenance Technician , you’ll have the opportunity to:
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of industrial processing equipment.
-24VDC, 120VAC, 240VAC, 480VAC
-Motor controls
-Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
-PLC-controlled equipment
-Sensors and instrumentation
- Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, conveyor, and automation systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs, blueprints, and mechanical drawings.
- Perform predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment uptime.
- Lead complex equipment repairs and coordinate maintenance activities during breakdowns.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Install, modify, and commission new equipment and production systems.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, continuous improvement projects, and process optimization.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, efficiency, and maintenance practices.
- Train and mentor Maintenance Technicians and Apprentices.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records utilizing the CMMS.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, OSHA, LOTO, and all company safety procedures.
- Communicate equipment status and repair plans with operations leadership.
- Support emergency maintenance needs during off-hours and weekends when required.
What You’ll Bring
To excel in this role, you’ll need:
- 7+ years of industrial maintenance experience in production or food processing.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting experience up to 480V.
- Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment (Allen-Bradley preferred).
- Ability to diagnose VFDs, motor controls, sensors, relays, contactors, and electrical circuits.

- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Welding and fabrication experience (MIG/TIG/Stick) preferred.
- Experience operating forklifts, aerial lifts, and scissor lifts preferred.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations and Lockout/Tagout procedures.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple repairs in a high-volume production environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Must provide and maintain a complete set of professional maintenance hand tools required to perform daily job responsibilities. Company-provided specialty tools and diagnostic equipment will be available as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or technical certification in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, or related field.
- PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Omron).
- Experience with robotics or automated material handling systems.
- Experience in food manufacturing, packaging, plastics, or automated production facilities.
- CMMS experience (Maintenance Connection, eMaint, SAP PM, etc.).
- Lean Manufacturing, TPM, or Reliability Maintenance experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to climb ladders and work from elevated platforms.
- Ability to stand, walk, kneel, squat, bend, and climb throughout the shift.
- Comfortable working in wet, humid, hot, cold, and noisy industrial environments.
- Ability to work safely around moving machinery.

Schedule
- Full-Time
- Must be available to work any shift as business needs require.
- Overtime, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-ins may be required.
- Supports a 24/6 manufacturing operation.
