Location: Taunton
Job Type: Permanent - Full Time
Department: Family
Reports To: Edward Judge - Senior Partner
Job Summary
Risdons Solicitors are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Solicitor to join our reputable Taunton branch. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of family law matters including
- Divorce and separation
- Financial Remedy proceedings
- Private children matters
- Cohabitation disputes
- Domestic abuse applications
- Pre and post-nuptial agreements.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced family solicitor to join a supportive and dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload of family law matters from start to finish
- Conduct face to face client meetings
- Provide excellent legal advice to clients
- Draft and review legal documents, agreements and court applications
- Represent clients in negotiations and court proceedings where appropriate
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and SRA regulations
- Maintain high standards of client care and build long-lasting client relationships
- Contribute to business development and networking initiatives as required
Qualifications / Experience
- Proven experience in probate and estate administration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
- Proficient in using case management systems and Microsoft Office
Soft Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks
- A team player with a positive and service orientated attitude
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
