Electric Power Systems (EPS) is seeking a qualified structural engineer for immediate employment. EPS specializes in all aspects of power generation, distribution, and transmission design and construction. The primary design responsibilities for this position will include foundations, building systems, and secondary support steel. The selected individual will work directly with our mechanical and electrical design groups to produce highly coordinated designs for power generation and other industrial projects.

Day-to-day work will include creating designs for a mixture of new construction and upgrades for existing plants. A typical project may include site planning, foundation designs, PEMB bid packages, secondary support steel, equipment anchoring, and construction management. As a design-build firm, we expect our engineers to be closely involved with construction efforts.

Our design group incorporates the latest technologies for spatial coordination. This position will require assisting with updating and maintaining precise 3D models of new designs as they develop. The candidate must be fully computer literate and willing to become proficient with new software and technologies.

The selected individual must be self-motivated and determined to work with others. This position will be directly incorporated with EPS Mechanical Design Group and focus on power generation. Our Principal Structural Engineer will provide reviews of final plans and provide design recommendations as required. The integrated approach favored by our team requires that individuals work together across disciplines on a continual basis; we do not compartmentalize design efforts or the design sequence.
