Position Responsibilities

  • Lead CASA's signature events including logistics, marketing, budget maintenance, print and digital collateral, and more
  • Create and execute unique fundraising initiatives like micro-events, mailed appeals, and community partnerships alongside the Advancement team
  • Create and distribute press releases, media relations content, and digital newsletter content
  • Research media coverage and industry trends; work with key journalists for press coverage
  • Develop marketing and communications collateral that assist the advancement team in meeting its annual goals for raising funds, reaching survivors, and creating social change
  • Promote the organization through public relations initiatives
  • Manage CASA's social media assets, including campaign ideation and execution
  • Identify, develop and execute communications strategy for key media contacts and corporate supporters
  • Build strong working relationships with organization’s executives, team members, vendors, and partner agencies to promote an integrated communications approach across the organization
  • Assist with strategic communication requirements for executives, including presentation development, interview talking points and speech writing, if applicable
  • Work with project manager to manage event budgets and provide department reports to Advancement Director
  • Research media coverage and industry trends

  • Plan and execute events to engage supporters, volunteers, donors, and partners of CASA
  • Serve as staff liaison to committees as assigned to build relationships and facilitate engagement
  • Strategize and create annual appeals in partnership with Advancement Director
  • Work closely with Event & Engagement Coordinator’s to collaborate on Marketing, Engagement, and Communication efforts
  • Act as a brand steward, upholding brand and trademark standards and consistency in all projects
  • Work with Development Specialist to increase operational efficiency and help set up and improve workflow processes when and where needed

Role Description: The Marketing & Events Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in St. Petersburg, FL, responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating marketing initiatives and organizational events that support CASA’s mission. This role manages day-to-day marketing activities, including creating and coordinating digital and print content, overseeing social media channels, and maintaining consistent brand messaging across all platforms. The Marketing & Events Lead develops and implements event strategies, coordinates logistics for fundraising and awareness events, and collaborates with internal teams and community partners to ensure successful outcomes. This position monitors campaign performance, tracks event metrics, and prepares reports to inform leadership and guide future initiatives. The role also involves managing timelines and budgets, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, and promoting a trauma-informed, inclusive, and survivor-centered approach in all external communications.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of event management experience, including logistics, vendor management, and on-site event oversight.
  • Experience developing and implementing marketing strategies across digital, social media, email, and print channels.
  • Strong skills in content creation and editing, including writing for campaigns, websites, newsletters, and promotional materials.
  • Proficiency with marketing and event tools (such as CRM systems, email marketing platforms, social media management tools, and basic design software).
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and represent the organization professionally.
  • Commitment to CASA’s mission, understanding of domestic violence issues, and ability to communicate about sensitive topics with empathy and respect.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, event management, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Possess a valid Florida State Driver’s License and auto insurance to be verified annually.
  • Successfully complete a pre-employment background check in accordance with applicable laws and organizational policies.
  • Ability to work on-site in St. Petersburg, FL, including occasional evenings and weekends for events.

Salary Range: $50,000-$53,000
