The Opportunity

We're looking for a Director of Client Development to lead and grow our business development organization. You'll step into a firm on a strong growth trajectory, taking the reins of an established four-person regional client development team (Louisiana, Texas, West, and Midwest) with immediate plans to expand headcount over the next 12 months. This is a rare opportunity to build a high-functioning BD team from a solid foundation — shaping strategy, coaching talent, and directly influencing the firm's next stage of expansion. The role is remote, with routine visits to our corporate office in Metairie, LA to stay connected with leadership and the broader team.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of regional Client Development Representatives, building a high-performing, quota-driven business development culture
  • Design and execute strategies to expand relationships with plaintiff and defense attorneys across new and existing markets
  • Recruit, onboard, and develop additional client development reps as the team scales over the next year
  • Set team goals, KPIs, and accountability structures to drive consistent new business growth
  • Partner with firm leadership and subject matter experts to align business development efforts with the firm's service lines and growth strategy
  • Represent Stokes & Associates at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to build brand visibility and referral relationships
  • Report on pipeline health, team performance, and market opportunities to senior leadership

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience building and managing a high-functioning business development or sales team, ideally within legal services, litigation support, healthcare, or a related professional services industry
  • A track record of scaling a team and hitting aggressive growth targets
  • Strong coaching and leadership instincts — you develop people, not just manage them
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with the ability to represent a firm's expertise credibly to attorneys and legal professionals
  • Strategic mindset paired with hands-on, in-the-field energy
  • Comfortable working remotely while maintaining strong team connectivity, with regular travel to Metairie, LA
  • Prior experience in vocational rehabilitation, life care planning, forensic economics, or legal/litigation services is a strong plus, but not required

· Experience with Salesforce and pipeline management is preferred
