State of the Heart Recovery
The Cook prepares, cooks, and serves daily breakfast and lunch meals for clients engaged in treatment at State of the Heart Recovery. The role maintains a safe, sanitary, and organized kitchen environment and ensures all food-service activities comply with health, safety, and regulatory standards. The position supports a calm and respectful environment for clients who are participating in behavioral health and addiction recovery services. The Cook follows established protocols for food handling, temperature control, inventory management, and cleaning procedures. The role contributes to the therapeutic environment by modeling professional behavior and positive communication.
Requirements
1. High school diploma or GED.
2. One year of experience in a kitchen or food-service environment preferred.
3. Food Handler’s Permit required within thirty days of hire.
4. Prior experience in healthcare or behavioral health environments preferred.
