Key Purpose

The Associate Global Product Manager - Softgoods drives product strategy to ensure products meet specific merchandising objectives, revenue and target goals. This position partners cross-functionally to bring product lines to market in a timely and profitable manner, in accordance with line plans and product calendar. The person in this role will take pride in Speedo, our culture, and our product!

Primary Responsibilities

Execute merchandising plans and strategies provided by leadership across competitive, fitness, and recreational swimwear categories.

• Assist with cross-functional coordination between Product Merchandising, Design, Development, Marketing, and Brand teams.

• Support consumer insights integration by sharing feedback and data with the team.

• Maintain and update global line plans in the PLM system (DeSL), ensuring accuracy and version control.

• Prepare and organize design and development briefs for internal teams.

• Conduct competitor research and compile findings to identify trends and opportunities.

• Track category trends and consumer behaviours; share updates with the team.

• Help create seasonal presentations, GTM tools, and launch decks.

• Assist with preparation for sales meetings and key account presentations.

• Manage global salesman sample (SMS) ordering and tracking process.

• Support pricing analysis and documentation in partnership with the merchandising team.

• Monitor deadlines and deliverables to ensure alignment with the global merchandising calendar.

• Provide administrative support for PLM workflow improvements in collaboration with IT and Product Operations.

Qualification & Experiences

1–3 years of experience in merchandising, planning, or product creation within apparel, swimwear, or sporting goods.

• Experience interpreting consumer insights and market trends.

• Ideally previous experience in PLM system, specifically DeSL.

• Ability to work independent and within a team environment.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Strong written and verbal and communication skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.

• Flexible/adaptable in a fast-paced environment.

• A genuine interest in swimwear, competitive swimming, and global consumer trends.
