Flatbed Tow Operator - Class C

What You'll Do
- Safely operate a flatbed tow truck to recover, transport, relocate, and stage company vehicles.
- Perform vehicle recoveries on public roads, parking structures, loading docks, and operational facilities.
- Load, unload, and secure vehicles using professional recovery techniques, including:
- Winching
- Soft straps and tie-downs
- Snatch blocks
- Vehicle skates
- Wheel securement systems
- Transport vehicles with combined gross vehicle weights ranging from 10,001 to 26,000 pounds.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, post-trip, and daily inspections of vehicles, trailers, and recovery equipment.
- Maintain DOT compliance, including Hours of Service (HOS), inspection reports, and required documentation.
- Communicate with dispatch, logistics coordinators, and field operations teams regarding recoveries, delays, incidents, and operational updates.
- Perform roadside recoveries while maintaining exceptional situational awareness and safety around traffic and active work environments.
- Keep assigned equipment clean, fueled, and operationally ready by performing basic servicing, fluid checks, tire pressure inspections, and reporting maintenance concerns.
- Maintain accurate transportation, inspection, and delivery records.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support fleet readiness and deliver a positive customer experience.
Requirements
What We're Looking For
- Valid Class C Driver's License required.
- CDL preferred, but not required.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- 4–6 years of professional flatbed towing and vehicle recovery experience preferred.
- Experience operating rollback or flatbed tow trucks.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle recovery, loading, securement, and transport procedures.
- Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles with exceptional attention to detail.
- Comfortable working around live traffic, roadside hazards, and dynamic operational environments.
- DOT Medical Examiner Certificate (MEC) required.
- Consent Tow certification (where applicable).
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and frequently enter and exit the tow truck throughout the shift.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
- Excellent judgment and problem-solving abilities in fast-paced situations.
- Flexible to work overtime, weekends, or emergency recovery assignments as business needs require.
- Successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

Pay Rate = $36.50 per hour
