Cytologist

The Cytologist position is a full-time role working Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm at Bell Hospital. The primary responsibility is to microscopically examine gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens for cancerous and precancerous cells, assisting in obtaining quality diagnostic samples and providing feedback on fine needle aspiration procedures. Essential duties include data entry, cytopreparation, specimen evaluation, participating in quality assurance, and preparing cytopathology reports. The role requires a Bachelor of Science degree, cytotechnology training, and ASCP certification as a Cytologist (CT), with preferred experience of at least one year. Candidates must follow safety protocols, maintain certifications, and participate in continuing education.
