Structural /Civil Engineer

Hennessey Engineering is growing, and we're looking for a licensed Professional Engineer to join our team in Carrollton, TX.

We're a small, close-knit firm that values careful engineering, clear communication, and long-term relationships with the people we work with.

What we're looking for

• Active PE license in the State of Texas.
• Experience with residential construction, including foundations, framing, additions, remodels, new construction.
• Familiarity with North Texas conditions, including expansive clay soils and IRC/IBC residential code requirements.
• Strong communication skills. You will work directly with homeowners, architects, and builders.
• A collaborative mindset and attention to detail.

What you'll do

• Design and review structural design for residential and light commercial projects.
• Perform site visits and field assessments.
• Prepare calculations, drawings, and compliance letters
• Work closely with our small team on a variety of projects. Most of our work is custom high end residential.
