This is an excellent opportunity for a planning professional who enjoys meaningful work, client interaction, problem-solving, and being part of a collaborative team that is actively shaping communities throughout Palm Beach County and the surrounding areas.

At JMorton, we combine the personal attention of a small firm with the capabilities and impact of a larger practice. Our team provides land planning, zoning, entitlement, landscape architecture, and design solutions for both public and private sector clients. We are looking for someone who wants to grow with us, take ownership of projects, and contribute to work that makes a visible difference in the communities we serve.

The ideal candidate will have experience with land development regulations, zoning codes, entitlement processes, municipal review procedures, and project coordination. In this role, you will participate in all aspects of the entitlement and development review process. Responsibilities include researching land development regulations, preparing land use and development applications, writing and editing technical reports, coordinating project schedules, managing municipal review comments, assisting with public hearing materials, and helping guide projects through the approval process.

The position also includes preparing and reviewing items such as justification statements, comprehensive plan amendments, text amendments, due diligence reports, zoning analysis reports, and client presentation materials. The successful candidate should be a strong communicator, a critical thinker, and someone who can proactively identify issues, address comments, and help keep projects moving forward.

We are especially interested in candidates who have experience working with both municipal/public sector clients and private development clients. Familiarity with Palm Beach County and surrounding municipalities is preferred.
