Duties
- Produces and proofreads typewritten material, such as letters, reports and forms, from written and verbal communication.
- Handles, sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail.
- Assists managers with administrative duties as assigned.
- Organizes and maintains a current and functional filing system.
- Maintains an organized workstation.
- Orders, catalogs and maintains inventory on resource materials and office supplies.
- Takes minutes at meetings and disseminates as appropriate.
- May assist managers with maintaining schedules.
- May enter data on a daily basis and assist with other reporting requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to use good judgment and work independently and efficiently.
- Ability to type with accuracy within established speed standards.
- Ability to establish and maintain harmonious relationships.
- Basic math skills.
- Strong customer services skills.
- Effective organizational and responsive communication skills.
Qualifications, Education & Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- One (1) year secretarial experience including computer experience with Microsoft Word and Excel software.
Certification, registration and licensure
- Reliable transportation and requires passing a word-processing proficiency skills test with a minimum of 50 words per minute.
- Requires passing basic Electronic Mail, Microsoft Excel and Word proficiency tests.
