The Nicosia Lab is dedicated to advancing transplant research by studying how the immune system can be selectively regulated to protect transplanted organs without broadly suppressing immunity. By investigating natural inhibitory immune pathways that act as "brakes" on immune responses, the lab aims to develop innovative strategies to prevent organ rejection while reducing the long-term risks of infection and cancer for transplant recipients. As a Research Technician on our team, you will perform laboratory techniques and procedures required for assigned experimental studies, assist with establishing and scheduling analyses, conduct tests using a range of laboratory equipment and instrumentation, and assemble experimental results for review by research staff.
