QAQC Inspector

Vanguard Maintenance & Electrical is a non-union electrical subcontractor performing large-scale commercial and data center work. We take pride in executing quality work and we are seeking a detail-oriented

QA/QC Inspector to support field quality inspections and ensure all work meets project specifications and code requirements.

Position Summary

The QA/QC Inspector is responsible for performing field inspections, verifying installations, and documenting compliance with project standards. This role works closely with field teams and QA/QC leadership to ensure quality is built into every phase of construction.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily field inspections of electrical installations (conduit, cable tray, terminations, equipment, etc.)
• Verify work complies with drawings, specifications, NEC code, and project standards
• Identify and document deficiencies and non-conforming work
• Support punch list creation, tracking, and closeout
• Complete and maintain inspection reports, checklists, and QA/QC documentation
• Coordinate with Foremen and Superintendents to resolve issues in a timely manner
• Assist with pre-functional inspections and testing readiness
• Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and installation standards are followed
• Participate in quality walks and site audits
• Support final turnover documentation and project closeout

Qualifications

• 1–3+ years of experience in electrical construction or QA/QC inspection
• Working knowledge of electrical systems and NEC requirements
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective communication and ability to work with field teams
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in data center or mission-critical projects
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification
• Familiarity with QA/QC processes, inspection checklists, and reporting tools
• Exposure to commissioning or turnover processes
