School Office Manager, Alpha - $110,000/year USD
Crossover
LOCATION NOTE : This is a full-time, in-person position at our New York City campus.
Traditional schools often limit what high-performing students can achieve. Alpha is redesigning education for learners who move beyond conventional pacing. We seek a results-oriented operator to create streamlined, orderly, high-caliber systems that enable outstanding learning every day.
Alpha is not a typical private school. We integrate demanding academics with practical competencies and our validated 2-Hour Learning methodology that accelerates student progress past standard grade expectations. In this position, you serve as the operational core of the campus: you control daily rhythm, safeguard uninterrupted learning time, and maintain precision across all details so Guides can focus on mentorship. You will manage safety, facilities, and foundational technology administration while cultivating a supportive, high-accountability environment for students and families.
If you excel at establishing clear workflows, solving problems quickly, and delivering measurable results, this role is built for you. You will create a campus environment that feels purposeful, efficient, and invigorating—where academic drive is honored and self-reliance is developed. Join us to help build a school where ambitious students advance faster, develop resilience, and lead with integrity.
What You Will Be Doing
- Managing comprehensive daily campus operations to ensure the 2-Hour Learning schedule runs punctually without disruption.
- Handling first-tier technical support (device configuration, basic diagnostics) and coordinating escalations with IT teams.
- Establishing credibility with students, families, and colleagues through precise communication and reliable execution.
- Deploying and monitoring campus safety procedures; overseeing drills, incident documentation, and vendor relations.
- Facilitating critical functions—events, staff integration, inventory and facilities oversight—to maintain campus performance at an elevated standard.
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Delivering instruction or developing curriculum; Guides manage student mentorship while you ensure operational precision.
- Operating from a remote administrative office with limited visibility; your contributions directly enhance student achievement and family satisfaction.
- Spending time on low-value tasks unrelated to accelerated learning; every responsibility connects to efficiency, safety, or excellence.
School Office Manager Key Responsibilities
Lead all aspects of campus operations to ensure our campus functions punctually, consistently, and at a standard that supports accelerated learning and superior family experience.
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (any field)
- 1+ years managing complex operations in education, events, hospitality, or comparable high-touch service settings.
- Demonstrated ability to remain composed under pressure, exercise initiative, and balance multiple priorities autonomously.
- Proficiency with basic IT troubleshooting and Google Workspace administration.
- Strong, professional written and spoken communication that fosters community confidence.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States and availability to work on-site in NYC, NY.
