Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Referral Coordinator for our Charlotte, NC location. The Referral Coordinator acts as a key liaison between referring providers, patients, and our clinical team to ensure a smooth and efficient referral process. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities to provide outstanding service to both patients and providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage and process incoming referral requests specific to the Charlotte, NC site.
• Communicate with referring providers to obtain all necessary clinical information and clarify referral details.
• Schedule patient appointments promptly, coordinating with clinical staff to optimize patient care delivery.
• Maintain accurate referral logs and documentation, ensuring compliance with privacy and regulatory standards.
• Monitor referral statuses and provide timely updates to both patients and providers.
• Address patient inquiries regarding referrals and additional dermatology services at the Arden location.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve referral workflows and processes.
• Participate in department meetings and training as required.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare or medical office environment, preferably in dermatology or related specialty.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with providers, patients, and internal teams to facilitate timely care.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and scheduling software.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
