Description

• Loads and unloads trucks
• Makes sure load conforms to and matches delivery tickets
• Signs and obtains signatures on all delivery tickets
• Assists in supervision of large moves
• Checks to see if load is secured properly
• Operates all vehicles and equipment at the Service Center
• Reports any accidents to vehicle or merchandise in their care
• Assists in training and cross-training other employees
• Perform all other related duties as assigned
• Adheres strictly to all safety regulations and procedures
• Communicates effectively with Principals, Department Heads, District staff and all other Auxiliary Services personnel, contractors and vendors in a professional manner in all phases necessary to complete each job and project
• Maintains an acceptable grooming standard and dress code as required by the Dallas ISD and Auxiliary Services department
• All federally funded incumbents of this position must comply with time and effort reporting requirements through personnel activity reports or periodic certification, as appropriate

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to record information accurately and clearly
• Demonstrated ability to communicate in English by speaking, reading and writing
• Demonstrated ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with students, Dallas ISD staff and visitors to Dallas ISD schools and facilities
• Must maintain Texas Driver’s License and record that meets Dallas ISD standard
• Must be able to pass the Dallas ISD Random Drug Test
• Must wear safety-clothing, equipment, as required
• Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus
