SUMMARY

This role serves as the account executive for new and existing complex clients and will be responsible for managing a portfolio with Average Loans Outstanding from $16MM to $30MM. Establishes and maintains a “trusted advisor” relationship with clients based on knowledgeable advice that is aligned to the clients’ business objectives and lifecycles. Develops and grows new business and builds/maintains strong relationships with prospects, clients and centers of influence. Drives financial performance through profitable revenue and growth, and quality credit.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Achieves individual annual production and growth goals for loans, deposits and fees to ensure the bank meets its overall financial targets and conforms to credit terms.

Initiates and develops new business through outside business development activities.

Ensures ongoing contact with new clients to enhance client’s experience with Fortress Bank.

Develops a comprehensive understanding of the client’s needs based on the review and analysis of personal bank business financial data gathered through relationship reviews and personal meetings.

Actively participates in community organizations to source business development opportunities and demonstrates Fortress Bank’s commitment to the communities we serve.

Builds client referral pipeline via identification and development of internal and external centers of influence.

Develops and maintains an in-depth knowledge of products and services as well as knowledge of competitors and competitive products. Proactively promotes bank products and services and keeps clients informed of all the financial solutions Fortress Bank has to meet their needs.

Partners consistently with other internal business partners to uncover opportunities to deepen the client relationship.

Makes decisions on loans and terms within established lending limits. Analyzes credit to determine the ability of clients to qualify for borrowing requirements.

Maintain compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job functions and applies to designated job responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university and three plus (3+) years’ experience in commercial lending or commercial credit underwriting; exhibits advanced credit analysis and commercial underwriting skills, including accounting, financial statement and cash flow analysis experience; has completed Credit Analyst training; knowledge of commercial lending policies, procedures, practices and documentation; excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills; ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage customer relationships; proficiency with personal computers and related software packages such as Word and Excel; knowledge of the Bank’s risk-rating system, credit products and underwriting policies; working knowledge structuring credit products for small and medium sized business in diverse industries.

OTHER SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

Computer skills are essential, including Word and Excel and Outlook. Experience with PowerPoint is beneficial. Requires initiative and solid judgement with oral/written communication skills including facilitation. Ability to prioritize work and remain adaptable under pressure.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries of complaints of customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

MATHMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and sit. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to

finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

SALARY

Starting Range $105,000 - $120,000

Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
