This is a people-first leadership role for a finance professional with a consulting background who excels at building teams, managing client relationships, and driving repeatable, scalable service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Service Line Management

  • Proactively identify client needs, flag risks, and ensure any escalations reach the appropriate level of support.
  • Own the commercial health of the client portfolio, including management and adherence to Statements of Work (SOWs), proactively identifying scope creep, and managing client requests for service expansions or reductions.
  • Navigate account disruptions, client transitions, and engagement instability with composure, maintaining strategic continuity and client confidence during periods of change.
  • Act as a strategic liaison to PE/VC sponsors, translating portfolio company financial performance into actionable insights for investor-level reporting and decision-making.

Business Development

  • Drive new client acquisition by collaborating with the sales team to scope, pitch, and close Finance Advisory engagements.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline for the Finance Advisory service line, including participation in events and content initiatives on York IE platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to expand engagements with existing clients as their financial needs grow.
  • Contribute thought leadership—articles, webinars, speaking engagements—that builds York IE's profile in the growth-stage finance space.

  • Define team structures, roles, and career development paths aligned with business growth objectives.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Set performance standards and provide regular coaching and feedback to develop team capability.
  • Oversee workload planning, quality control, and staffing as the client portfolio grows.

Performance & Accountability

  • Establish KPIs to measure service quality, client retention, team productivity, and overall practice health.
  • Monitor client satisfaction metrics and address issues proactively to support long-term retention.
