We're hiring an Import Manager for a well established Customs Broker and freight forwarder in New Jersey, in business since for decades and growing quick! You'll take the lead on day-to-day Customs Brokerage operations, guide a team of Entry Writers, and be the go-to person when something needs a sharper eye or a faster resolution. It's hands-on, it's fast paced, and it comes with real ownership.

What you'll be doing

  • Overseeing daily Customs Brokerage operations and entry processing
  • Guiding and mentoring a team of Entry Writers
  • Reviewing entries for accuracy and compliance before submission
  • Resolving Customs rejections, RFIs, and compliance issues
  • Jumping in hands-on to file entries when the team needs it
  • Helping shape SOPs and drive process improvements

What you bring

  • 5+ years of Customs Brokerage Operations experience
  • An active U.S. Customs Broker License
  • Experience supervising or mentoring Entry Writers is a big plus
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. Customs regulations and import compliance
  • Sharp problem solving skills and a steady head under pressure
