We're Hiring – Advanced Level 1 IT Technician

Lakewood, NJ

Full-Time | Primarily In-Office with Occasional Onsite Visits

Icon Tech Group is looking for an Advanced Level 1 IT Technician to join our growing Managed Services team.

This role is ideal for someone who already has a solid IT foundation and enjoys helping people. You'll be the first point of contact for our clients—answering support calls, troubleshooting issues, and resolving as much as possible on the first interaction. You'll also work closely with our senior engineers, giving you plenty of opportunities to learn and advance.

What You'll Be Doing

- Answering support calls and helping users with day-to-day IT issues

- Troubleshooting Windows, Microsoft 365, printers, email, networking, and workstation problems

- Managing users in Active Directory and Microsoft 365

- Setting up new computers and user accounts

- Escalating more complex issues with clear documentation

- Providing occasional onsite support for local clients

- Keeping tickets organized and documenting your work thoroughly

What We're Looking For

- Strong troubleshooting skills and a genuine desire to solve problems

- Excellent customer service and communication

- A positive attitude and willingness to learn

- Good documentation and time management

- Experience supporting Windows environments and Microsoft 365

- Familiarity with Active Directory, basic networking, and common business IT environments

- Experience working for an MSP is a plus, but not required

We care more about your ability to troubleshoot, communicate, and learn than about collecting certifications.
