Shift: Monday-Friday 7:30pm-4am

  • Facilitates radiology report addendum requests and coordinates related documentation needs.

  • Facilitates the transfer, sharing, and retrieval of images and reports between AdventHealth facilities, outside organizations, and physician offices.

  • Utilizes PACS, PowerShare, and other imaging systems to support image exchange and comparison studies.

  • Uploads outside imaging studies and coordinates associated documentation within the electronic medical record.

  • Processes requests for imaging reports, CDs, and other imaging media for patients, physicians, and external facilities.

  • Prepares, distributes, and tracks imaging media and reports in accordance with departmental policies and patient privacy requirements.

  • Maintains and distributes imaging media as requested by physicians, patients, and authorized representatives.

  • Prepares imaging studies and reports for release, mailing, or electronic distribution to referring providers and healthcare facilities.

  • Assists patients and family members with imaging-related requests in a professional, courteous, and timely manner.

  • Collaborates with Registration, Patient Service Center, Medical Records, and other departments to ensure efficient service delivery.

  • Maintains accurate records and documentation related to image transfers, report distribution activities, and imaging requests.

  • Answers and manages incoming telephone calls and electronic communications related to imaging services.

  • Performs other duties as assigned in support of imaging department operations.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare office procedures.

  • Knowledge of healthcare privacy and confidentiality requirements related to patient information and imaging records.

  • Proficiency with computer applications and the ability to learn and effectively utilize EPIC, PACS, PowerShare, Microsoft Office applications, and other healthcare information systems.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Demonstrated customer service skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.

  • Ability to work independently while exercising sound judgment and maintaining confidentiality.

  • Strong time-management and prioritization skills.

  • Demonstrated professionalism and ability to build collaborative working relationships with internal and external customers.

  • High School Grad or Equivalent [Required]

Pay Range

$15.87 - $25.38
